MEET THE RESIDENT

La Maison x KUZCO Art Maison.

Founded by Lilly-Ann de Zeeuw, MA, curator, art historian, and designer, whose practice pairs academic connoisseurship with contemporary living. Rooted in a family tradition of art and antiques Lilly-Ann works from a clear conviction: art should be accessible to a larger public. She champions access without sacrificing quality, creating museum-quality objects designed for homes, not just palaces.

In a long-term partnership with La Maison as house curator, she will shape the salon’s cultural direction by introducing new artists, exhibitions, and art events that keep the space refreshing, connecting, and celebrating.

Lilly-Ann’s dream is to build international spaces where art isn’t just seen, but lived, where exhibitions and homes merge.

  • KUZCO Art Maison designs and produces museum-quality pieces in sustainable materials such as bronze, marble, and porcelain, creating sculptures, collectible mirrors, lighting, and furniture. The collection combines original designs with carefully researched replicas of iconic works from art history, guided by the belief that the spaces we live in should be as inspiring as a museum exhibition.

Each piece is handmade with time-honoured techniques like the lost-wax method, requiring great craftsmanship. Collaborating closely with emerging artists and designers, KUZCO showcases their work through curated exhibitions and special events, aiming to bridge the gap between museum art and interior design. The mission: to create timeless objects of enduring value — pieces that outlast trends, people, and perhaps even time itself. Designed for lifetimes, not seasons.

  • The takeover is conceived as a living exhibition — an art maison that evolves over time. KUZCO Art Maison’s installation unfolds in curatorial chapters: from sculptural Grand Tour–style pieces, to Art Deco silhouettes, to contemporary works. Each visit offers a fresh perspective, with pieces re-styled into new vignettes.

From October, KUZCO and La Maison will host Champagne Tastings paired with Art-Historical Talks — short, engaging sessions led by House Curator Lilly-Ann. Held during the day and evening, these explore how to look at art, patina, and style — all with a glass in hand.

On 11 October 2025, the salon celebrates KUZCO’s first anniversary with special installations, artist drop-ins, and festive toasts to the year ahead. In the same spirit of accessibility, KUZCO will offer a Free Valuation Day — welcoming visitors curious about the worth and care of their artworks. Friendly, concise consultations aim to demystify value, condition, and next steps.

  • Following the takeover, KUZCO and La Maison will co-design an exclusive collection of small sculptures and collectible design, crafted to museum standards. Designed in Amsterdam and produced by master artisans, the collection will be released in limited series through La Maison, reinforcing KUZCO’s enduring bond with the house.

  • Throughout the residency, expect spontaneous gatherings: impromptu conversations, informal studio hours, and occasional after-hours meet-ups. It is a salon in the original sense — convivial, curious, and alive — where art meets hospitality and great objects spark even greater dialogue.
